I dont recall seeing anywhere that Giroux had any interest in Edmonton. They aren’t allowed to talk yet. I saw a few places that said he wants to stay in the east. If he turned down Denver at the deadline why would he be ok with Edmonton??

I'm saying every team talks before the period opens. There is a reason why we know where a bunch of UFAs are going before Free Agency actually begins.

I don’t know about that. The nhl has come down on that stuff before. The player is under contract until the period opens. Usually it’s about a week they get to talk before free agency signings can be made. This year is a little tighter.

They are allowed to talk and negotiate before it opens. Just not yet. Talks are allowed after the draft for UFA’s. That’s why you hear of talk of trading for a players rights. So you can talk to them earlier.

Perhaps you should look up some of LeBrun comments the past 24 hours. you like to mention him when his comments fit your narrative but ignore him when he doesn't. LeBrun has stated Giroux is interested and Edmonton is on his short list.

With Jusso gone, feels more and more like we will end up with bargain goalie like a Holtby or Kappo in SJ. I cant see us ponying up for Keumper or Campbel.

As long as someone like Kappo is actually a bargain in $ as well as performance, I don't really care if they go that route. Just as long as they don't go blowing their brains out on a Koskinin/Murray/Mrazek type high dollar/bad goalie deal. Holland needs to not spend all of his cap on crap.
